ROTORPRO
Granular Metering Unit
Introducing RotorPro
RotorPro is a precision-engineered granular metering unit, designed for both OEM integration and retrofit applications. Built on Horizon’s proven metering unit architecture and refined for modern high-performance drilling systems, RotorPro delivers consistent, accurate product delivery across a wide range of seed and fertiliser types.
Whether integrated at factory level or installed as an upgrade, RotorPro provides the reliability, adjustability and output capacity required by today’s progressive growers and machinery manufacturers. It is engineered for accuracy at low rates, stability at high outputs, and long-term durability in demanding field conditions.
RotorPro is not simply a metering unit, it is a performance-critical system designed to improve establishment, input efficiency and overall machine capability.
How does it work?
RotorPro uses a precision-machined, interchangeable fluted rotor system housed within a sealed metering body. Product flows from the hopper into the metering chamber, where the selected rotor positively carries material from the inlet to the outlet at a controlled rate.
Output is regulated by:
Rotor selection (volume per revolution)
Drive speed control (mechanical or electric)
Consistent chamber sealing and airflow management
The positive displacement design ensures repeatable metering across variable field conditions, maintaining accuracy regardless of terrain, vibration or material density.
When paired with electronic drive systems, RotorPro enables variable rate application, section control compatibility and seamless integration with modern ISOBUS platforms.
Interchangeable Rotors
At the core of RotorPro’s flexibility is its interchangeable rotor system.
Different rotors are available to suit:
Fine seeds
Large seeds
Micro-granules
Fertiliser products
High-rate applications
Changing rotors is straightforward and tool-efficient, allowing operators or OEM technicians to quickly adapt the unit to different crops, products or application rates.
Each rotor is manufactured to tight tolerances to ensure consistent volumetric output and minimal rate deviation across working widths. This modular approach gives RotorPro a broad operating window without compromising precision.
Seeding Configurations
RotorPro can be configured with Horizon’s injector box assembly, providing the capabaility of directing seed into specific airflows.
Designed for Modern Agronomy
RotorPro reflects Horizon’s philosophy of applied engineering, technology developed with agronomic purpose. Accurate metering directly influences crop establishment, nutrient placement and input efficiency. By improving consistency at the point of delivery, RotorPro helps ensure every pass delivers predictable results.
For OEM partners, RotorPro enhances machine capability and competitive differentiation.
For retrofit customers, it unlocks new levels of precision without full machine replacement.
